Journey with Woden Valley Youth Choir

This year I have taken up as Artistic Director of fantastic Woden Valley Youth Choir! It has been quite a journey so far with these outstanding young people and our Annual Concerts, titled 'Journey' are coming up this weekend - Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at Canberra College Performing Arts Centre. They feature two choirs singing many Australian works including a world premiere by Daniel Brinsmead, a work for two choirs and piano four hands with special alumnae Sally Greenaway and much more! These showcases are guaranteed to entertain -  listen to a sneak preview by following the link below and please come along if you can:

the foray quintet spring into September!

Hello everyone,

Just a quick message to update you about my group, the foray quintet, and our upcoming tour. We are a piano quintet (piano, violin, violin, viola, cello) who connected over our love of the lush sound that this combination can make! We are pretty new, having started performing together last year with Faure's piano quintets, and are now about to embark on our third mini-tour.

We will be in Canberra (Friday), Sydney (Saturday) and hopefully Newcastle (Sunday) on the weekend of September 25-27! The program features the works of Dmitri Shostakovich (Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57) and the rarely heard (in Australia) Croatian composer Dora Pejacevic (Piano Quintet in B Minor, Op. 40). You can find out more info and book tickets here

It would be lovely to see you out and about supporting us if you can!

Thanks for reading,

Kimberley
